Ministry: Russian wheat exports rise 41% in Jul 1, 2017–Wed
MOSCOW, Apr 4 (PRIME) -- Russia’s wheat exports increased 41% on the year to 31.2 million tonnes from July 1, 2017 through Wednesday, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement.
Total grain exports rose 39% to 39.988 million tonnes in the period, according to the Federal Customs Service.
Barley exports jumped about 90% to 4.5 million tonnes, while corn exports soared 41% to 4 million tonnes.
The Agriculture Ministry expects that Russia’s grain exports may reach 53 million tonnes this year, including 40 million tonnes of wheat.
